Midnight Muse

The nights put on the apparel of musing
singing by my side,
They squired me to oblivion and I only smiled.

In a bottomless chasm,
Sinking, like the sky is falling,
the crystals outpouring,
the goddess descending,
a fear caged me for a while.
Rest your fears, they called and I believed.

Those tender arms snared my essence,
 warming my words.
I walked beautiful naked.
Some ephemeral drops permeated,
I soaked in the odour of life.

They adored me like the roses in the diaries,
so, here I was, dreaming,
touring sybaritic,
flying imperial,
frolicking, in the deep rooted.
I read from their eyes,
the tales of the unborn.

Before the dewy drops moistened my eyes,
the quilt of night lulled me to a slumber,
and sang me the rhyme of the vagabond.
