Relationship with sanity... and insanity

Hitting the obnoxious head to the rock
No, darlin’ its hard to sing by a filthy flock
Enough of me
It demands our fortune in return, you see, and
I suck at collections.
Tie my hands, I can’t deny, I don’t envy.

It will rain fortune and ashes one day
there is no god, but you go and pray
Fill the lockers, run, hold your sway
but you won’t get the rule that way

Cry silently down by the lake, down close
And it is all about no mercy
Where would I wake up? I can’t sleep
Another bowl of sorrow and
I suck at happiness.
Finally, caught a catch 22

Isn't being content in whatever state we are in a mark of ascension to a higher state?
Perhaps, they call it insanity (misnomer).

Beautiful expression.

Beautifully expressive poem. I enjoyed the strong and rhyme in the middle stanza and the rhythm throughout.
