Mistress of hoarding

I have been piling up apples in the desk,
and pencils and papers and hair and glass
and everything that passes on the line
of my sight and everything that touches me

The act is not an accident of my brain
nor do I like not being well formed,
its not even any bond that carves itself
out of my skin but

For this world, I am the mistress
and everything here nails itself to me.
I accept the parameters and I am loyal
to every eye that stares at me
and every letter that is written to me.

The wood is being hoarded by the termites,
there is a silent hollowness though-
both are adjusting with each other,
sitting with me.

This resonated with me- sometimes things/letters just adhere to us regardless of what we know should be done

Sitting with me, the wood and the termites =)

Awesome!

My possessions are left to be burnt, in the fire I'll burn in, and the ashes will form the fewer letters, that would carry me away.

Cheers,
Blasphemous Aesthete

Interesting the choice of everything nailing to you…accepting your position as well…the termites are an interesting touch as well…pulling away from you as the mistress to the surroundings and them becoming comfortable with you…

Oh the hoarding. We all do it to a certain degree but accepting the problem that’s another matter. Interesting phrase - nailing to you.

I like that the termites are keeping you company...

Oh no not termites, unless of course they are friendly and no so hungry! Ha! ha!

The sense of feeling overwhelmed by the apples piling up, the things attaching themselves to you and the hoarding termites is clear to me. The denial that anything is wrong is also evident. I enjoyed these irrational aspects from this rational blog, Monika. Thank you for sharing this great composition. =D

All lovely.

Very lovely: For this world, I am the mistress
and everything here nails itself to me.
I accept the parameters and I am loyal
to every eye that stares at me
and every letter that is written to me.

Really interesting take on the prompt. I especially loved this part:

For this world, I am the mistress
and everything here nails itself to me.
