Lost Stars

The air feels a little lighter
we are maybe a speck of noise here
trying to cancel our silences
like lost lambs on the highways,
un-hunting their skins,
searching another safe home.
I feel like a girl unearthing her ground
searching for another lost star,
drifting past your connotations
of our simple world.
We are all white light here,
divergent rainbows scattered
countering the unlimited fantasies
of our abuses and memories.
The bodies are little maligned tonight-
mind rubbing stars over me
while I try to remember who we are,
not scholarly or obliging
but maybe some burnt notes
in each other's books.
Light my stars
while I laugh with my strings open.
